LINKS
Well, if it's a website, they're mandatory, right? The first section links to stuff that some Weaselhawks are actually involved with. When we get around to the second section, there'll be some fairly typical links that we think you might be interested in. When the third section goes up... watch out, there are some twisted minds on the Weaselhawks squad. Several Weaselhawks are not represented here at the moment, but will be soon.
IMAGEHAUS
New recruits to the Weaselhawks 2007 squad Colleen Meyer and Stephanie Wetzell keep things under control at this Twin Cities design/communications firm.
KATHERINEGERDES.COM
Perhaps one of the more famous of Weaselhawks, due to her 2006 appearances on Project Runway, Katy Gerdes's designs can be seen on her website.
LITTLE AND COMPANY
Jamie Parker, a Design Director at this Twin Cities design and communications firm, has tapped in to the talent pool at Little & Co. L&C employees now playing for the Weaselhawks include Katherine Lamm and Chad Olson
MIDWAY TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION
Weaselhawk Jessica Treat is the Executive Director of the Midway MTO, which works to improve transportation choices and mitigate traffic congestion and air pollution in the Midway area of Saint Paul. Saint Paul rocks. The only reason some of us come to Minneapolis is to play softball.
MONO
Is this an ad league? Hell, who would've known. Our coaches work at the red-hot agency mono, so there you go. Travis Olson and Heather Burnikle toil by day at "the ONE and only".
JACOB NASSIF, COPYWRITER/STRATEGIST
If Jake Nassif would have written this, it probably would have made a lot more sense. JN works with a number of communications firms here in the Twin Cities. He understands branding and communications much better than he understands the rules of softball.
RECTANGLE DESIGNS
There's no denying that the Weaselhawks red-heather (no, they're NOT pink) T-s were the hottest uniforms in the AASL. They were printed in the studio of Sarah Nassif. Her textile designs are much more sophisticated and practical.
TARGET CORPORATION
Next time you grab a pair of shorts off the rack or an outfit for your toddler, chances are it could be designed by a Weaselhawk. Allie Nassif, Danielle Pugliese, and Teresa Winslow all design clothing for the Twin Cities powerhouse retailer with the bullseye.
TRIANGLE PARK CREATIVE
When he's not attending classes, Joe Shindelar lends his talents to the good folks at Triangle Creative. If HE would have designed this website instead of some old print geezer, it might make more sense. Joe worked on the awesome 2007 re-design of KFAI's website.
WALKER ART CENTER
Longtime Weaselhawk Witt Siasoco works in Teen Programs at the Walker. He's got a nifty new office there, where you can find him glued most days to mlb.com. New 2007 recruit Megan Leafblad also calls the Walker home for her day-job, but she is really a soccer mom at heart
AAROW RUBBER STAMP COMPANY
You'll find fresh hot rubber (real rubber, none of that photopolymer crap) flowing out of the vulcanizers at Aarow. Proprieter is Weaselhawk Craig Phillips. If any of you ad folks need a production artist, CP freelances; info at craigphillips.org. You might also find personal crap, musings, and such at craigphillips.us and craigleephillips.com.
THUMBSTRUCTION!
Several Weaselhawks transitioned from the 6 inch Blue Dot to the 15 pound rock this past winter to join this Advertising Bowling League upstart. Weaselhawk Heather Burnikel coached the team, Travis Olson designed the awesome shirts, and Benchwarmer Roland Eidahl sponsored the team. It is rumored that an anonymous Weaselhawk rolled a team season-high 214.
KFAI - FRESH AIR RADIO
Best radio station in town. Period. And our favorite AASL team. Our own Joe Shindelar worked on the 2007 website redesign. The Weaselhawks are named as group contributors at the 106.7 Frequency Club level.
VOLTAGE 05 - FASHION AMPLIFIED
Weaselhawks Katy Gerdes and Allie Nassif created designs for this fabulous blowout in May of 2005. The show featured the hottest bands and designers in the Twin Cities. The event was a benefit for Youth In Music, a non-profit whose focus is to create sustainable music education ensembles. Whether Weaselhawks participate or not this year, it'll be well worth checking out. Katy designed for runway models again for the 2007 show.
AASL
You can go here to see league standings, assuming the coaches can figure out how to log in. Anybody know what the acronym AASL means?
SHITEATERS.COM
Always an effective conversation starter. It's so disgusting we didn't even make the link live. Find it for yourself.
